New England/Cape Cod Trip

Dare I say we took our first family vacation this past September in a car, with a toddler, and while I am pregnant. Joel planned and mapped out every bit of our adventure, making sure there were plenty of stopping breaks in between all the sites and that our accommodations were up to what my spoiled self was accustomed to. He did such a great job. Our main hot spot was Cape Cod. For three days we enjoyed the peaceful beaches, bike rides, whale watching, and other small town activities. As for other places we visited... A stop was made in Pennsylvania Amish Country and yes we did see some Amish on a buggy. While in Pennsylvania we had the greatest blessing of meeting Baby Isaiah, the first born of our friends Arun and Tammy. We enjoyed a great dinner with them before heading on. Being greatly influenced by Jonanthan Edwards, our next site to see was his old church where he stood behind the pulpit. Of course time has deadened what was once so lively. Joel wanted make sure we hit all the states so for one night we stayed in Portsmouth, Maine. It's a cute town. Then heading south towards Cape Cod, we stopped in Plymouth and Salem. After leaving our short stay at the Cape, we headed home and stopped at Newport Beach and where Washington crossed the Delaware.

It was a full trip and a wonderful vacation...or as wonderful as it can be with a 2 year old. Thank you God for the invention of the portable DVD!
