Our ever gracious Lord gave us our second precious daughter to love and care for on February 17th. I started contractions the day before and went to the hospital at 1:30 am, but they were not progressing; so with the doctor we decided to start on a very low dose of pitocin since I wanted to avoid an epidural. After about 8-10 hours the contractions became unbearable, and I can feel the extremity of the fall and God's curse on man. Unable to breathe through the pain, we finally decided to get an epidural. Two hours later, Sophia came out at 9:09 pm, weighing 6 lb 11 oz and measuring 19 in. The Lord provided incredible nurses and doctors. It was a beautiful delivery and recovery. As I held Sophia, I was just as amazed as I was with Audrey, that this little human being was created inside of me. God's creation of man is indeed very good.
I always thought I couldn't love another child as I love Audrey. But I felt an immediate deep love for Sophia. She's part of our small world, which was just the three of us...and now four. Thank you God for this new life and for the family you have given us...thus far. :)
