Sophia is Half a Year Old!

Our baby turned 6 months old this past Thursday. She is such a sweet and fun addition to our family. Sophia is an extremely vibrant and happy baby. She loves to laugh and will smile at just about anything or anyone. I can be incredibly tired in the morning, but when I see her in her crib looking at me with her huge smile, I can't help but smile back. It's such a joy to wake up in the mornings to see that sweet face and hear her sweet gibberish. She baby talks a lot and really likes to say "da da da da " and has great inflection while she talks...she's exhibiting a lot of Momma's dramatic and talkative style. :)

She's been keeping us all on our toes, especially Audrey. For awhile now, Sophia has been reaching for Audrey's toys and snacks, but recently she's been more mobile, rolling around to get what she wants. Sibling rivalry is rearing it's ugly head. And soon we'll have a crawler, Sophia's already started to rock back and forth and move herself backwards...usually till she gets stuck under the couch. She's ahead of her sister by 3 months. Audrey, watch out, little sis is catching up quickly.

Sophia had her 6 month check up today and she's measuring 50% in weight and height. Our first-born was always around 10%. Audrey MAY be smarter but Sophia is definitely going to be bigger and tougher than Audrey. We'll see if the saying "the pen is mightier than sword" holds true. It's so fun to see how God has designed our children so differently and uniquely...yet similar (see pic below).
